Wrote it yourself? Don't get flagged as AI.
In a Stanford study, AI detectors labelled 61% of essays by non-native writers as AI-written. Honest work, flagged. ESL Humanizer fixes the phrasing that reads machine-like in text you wrote yourself, keeps what you meant, and shows your AI-detection score before your teacher's detector does.

61%
of TOEFL essays by non-native speakers were misclassified as AI-written, on average across seven detectors.
97%
of those human-written essays were flagged by at least one detector.
The problem isn't AI — it's that simpler, less idiomatic English looks “machine-like” to detectors.

A proofreader, not a ghostwriter
You stay the author. We make sure your English doesn't get in the way of your ideas.
- 01
Paste what you wrote
An essay paragraph, a cover letter, a research abstract, an important email. Your ideas, your draft.
- 02
See every change
We fix grammar and unnatural phrasing, then highlight each edit word by word — nothing happens behind your back.
- 03
Check before you submit
A meaning score confirms your message survived, and an AI-detection estimate shows how it reads — before a teacher's detector does.

Does Canvas Have AI Detection? No, But Your School May Add It
Canvas has no AI detector of its own. How to tell whether your course runs Turnitin or Copyleaks, what your instructor sees, and what to do if your own writing is flagged.

FAQ
Honest answers
Including the ones other tools avoid.
Is using ESL Humanizer cheating?
It's built for text you wrote yourself. It works like a careful proofreader: it fixes grammar and awkward phrasing, keeps your ideas and structure, and shows every change so you stay the author. It won't write essays for you. Always follow your school's or employer's rules on editing tools.
Will my text pass every AI detector?
No tool can honestly promise that — AI detectors are inconsistent and disagree with each other. What we do is make your English read the way a fluent writer would put it, which removes many of the patterns that get non-native writing wrongly flagged. When detection scoring is enabled, we show you a before/after estimate.
Will it change what I meant?
Preserving your meaning is the core rule. Every rewrite gets a meaning similarity score, and if it drops below 85/100 we warn you. The word-by-word view shows exactly what changed, so you can keep or reject anything.
Will it make my writing sound too advanced for me?
No. We deliberately keep your register and level — an undergraduate essay should still sound like an undergraduate wrote it. The goal is natural, not impressive.
What happens to my text?
Your text is sent to our AI provider only to produce the rewrite (and to the detection service when scoring is on). We don't save your writing to our database.
What do I get for free?
Without an account you get 1 rewrite a day; sign in with Google and you get 2 a day. Each free rewrite can be up to 1500 characters — about 250 words, half a page — and shows the AI-detection estimate for the rewritten text, with the before score too on your first rewrite each day. Subscribers get unlimited rewrites of up to 3,000 characters (~500 words) each, with before-and-after detection scores every time.
How do I cancel?
In one click from your Whop account — no emails, no calls. If you cancel, you can get a full refund for unused time within 14 days. The Semester plan is a single payment and never renews automatically.
How does my plan get linked to my account?
Automatically. We ask you to sign in with Google before checkout and link your plan to that account — it unlocks as soon as payment completes.
